FLORENCE A funeral service for Ronnie Lawayne Calcutt will be 3:00pm Tuesday, November 2, 2010, in Cain Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Douglas Phillips. Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00-8:00pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tans Bay Baptist Church 3919 S. Irby St., Florence, SC 29505. Mr. Calcutt, 59, died October 30, 2010, after an extended illness. He was born August 25, 1951, in Florence, SC, to the late Donnie Calcutt and the late Ann Baker Calcutt Poston. He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Walter Durham and Rosa Bell Hyman Calcutt; and maternal grandparents, James Tillman and Nolan Ruth Baker. Ronnie was a member of Tans Bay Baptist Church, and had attended Florence Public Schools. He was an avid fisherman, who loved his family, loved life, who made the best of any situation, and never met a stranger. His family wishes to express many thanks to the Mcleod Hospital 5th Floor CCU doctors and nurses for their wonderful care. They also extend a special thanks to Dr. Bouleware who Ronnie considered his doctor and friend. Survivors include; step-father – Carl L. Poston Jr. of Pamplico, SC; sisters, Donna (David) Hendrick of Florence, and Janet L. Poston of Pamplico; brother, Carl “Ricky” (Debbie) Poston III of Pamplico; nieces, Donette (David) Shaw, and Alexis Anne Poston both of Florence; nephews, David (Rhonda) Hendrick Jr. of Coward, Carl Poston IV of Seattle, WA, Chad S. Peagler of Darlington, and Dempsey C. Poston of Florence; a special friend, Jenny Adams of Darlington, and her son Chad Adams; best friends, Louise Bingham, Ralph (Linda) Bellamy, and many more. “God saw him getting tired, A cure not meant to be.
