Florence Deputy Terminated Amid Ongoing Domestic Violence Investigation

The domestic violence investigation was opened after an incident in Darlington County last week.

A Florence deputy has been terminated amid an ongoing investigation.

Sheriff TJ Joye fired Treyvon Sellers after a domestic violence investigation was opened by the S.C. Law Enforcement Division.

Details surrounding the investigation have not been publicly released at this time.

Sellers was on leave for a deputy-involved shooting that took place on May 26. 43-year-old William Rankin died as a result of the shooting which was prompted by a series of events.

However, the domestic violence investigation is separate and was opened after an incident in Darlington County last week.
