South Carolina Makes Top Five List Of Best States To Retire In
Bankrate based its 2024 ranking on five criteria categories including, affordability and more.
A Bankrate analysis revealed the top five states to retire in.
Delaware took the top spot. Though it’s a more expensive state to live in, it’s high-quality health care, light tax burden, affordable home insurance and good weather made it the top state.
West Virginia came in second thanks to its best-in-the-nation affordability.
Georgia is third and South Carolina fourth after scoring better on affordability.
Last but not least, Missouri cracked the top five due to its low cost of living.
