Treatha Bell Causey

(March 31, 1921 – October 26, 2010) Nichols- Treatha Bell Atkinson Causey, 89, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Loris Community Hospital. She was born in Marion County, a daughter of the late Clinton McRoy and Lizzie Shelley Atkinson. Mrs. Causey was predeceased by her husband, Earley Hoyt Causey; one son, Nathan Earl (Cootie) Causey; two brothers, Hugh and Willieed Atkinson, and one sister, Lorene White. She is survived by one son, James Weldon (Buddy) Causey and his wife, Lynda of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Wilma Jean Strickland and her husband Sam of Rock Hill, S.C. and Vickie Lynn Lupo and her husband, Ray of Green Sea, S.C.; two brothers, Clinton McRoy Atkinson and his wife Dottye of Matthews, N.C. and David Wyatt Atkinson and his wife, Dot of St. Pete Beach, Florida, eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt.
