Two Vacationers Arrested In Myrtle Beach On Child Neglect Charges

On Tuesday, police were called to the Bermuda Sands Hotel along N. Ocean Boulevard in regards to a welfare check on two unresponsive adults.

Two vacationers were arrested earlier this week in Myrtle Beach.

37-year-old Jennifer Hutchins and 29-year-old Kaylee Vanoster were on a family vacation and were the sole caretakers of the children with them.

On Tuesday, police were called to the Bermuda Sands Hotel along N. Ocean Boulevard in regards to a welfare check on two unresponsive adults.

Officials reportedly knocked several times before one of the children answered and said the adults were not waking up and they “needed help.”

The pair appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic. When asked if they had taken edible THC products one of the offenders nodded yes.

Officials say neither Hutchins or Vanoster were able to stay awake to answer further questions. They allegedly consumed an unknown substance from a pink bag.

One of the victims reported this is not the first incident of such.

Both offenders were arrested for unlawful neglect of a child.
