Malawi’s Vice President Killed In Plane Crash Along With 9 Other Passengers
There was reportedly bad weather and poor visibility but the official cause of the crash is under investigation.
Malawi’s Vice President Saulos Chilima has died in a plane crash along with nine other passengers.
The aircraft was reported missing after it failed to land at the Mzuzu International Airport. The wreckage of the plane has since been located.
The country’s President Lazarus Chakwera disclosed the aircraft was found “completely destroyed,” adding that “words cannot describe how heartbreaking this is.”
Chakwera paid tribute to his deputy, describing him as “a good man, a devoted father and husband, as well as a patriotic citizen who served his country with distinction.”
