Cucumbers Recalled Across 14 States Including North And South Carolina

The FDA will now conduct additional testing to reveal whether it's related to an ongoing outbreak investigation.

Cucumbers have been recalled due to possible contamination with salmonella.

The recall was placed by the Florida-based Fresh Start Produce Company.

The products were sent to retail distribution centers, wholesalers and food service distributors across 14 states including North and South Carolina. They were shipped from May 17-21.

The recall was issued after a sample tested positive for salmonella. The FDA will now conduct additional testing to reveal whether it’s related to an ongoing outbreak investigation.

The recalled products should be thrown out or returned to place of purchase.
