Red Lobster Abruptly Closes Over 40 Locations Nationwide

Red Lobster is abruptly closing at least 48 of its restaurant locations nationwide.

The affected Red Lobster locations across several cities were listed as “temporarily closed” on the company’s website.

TagEx Brands is conducting an online auction of Red Lobster restaurant inventory, including kitchen equipment, furniture, tables and chairs. The auction will continue through Thursday.

Red Lobster is reportedly considering filing for bankruptcy protection but is taking several different steps in an attempt to avoid doing so.
