Controlled Burn To Take Place In North Myrtle Beach Area

The North Myrtle Beach Fire Department will be monitoring the burn.

North Myrtle Beach officials made an announcement Tuesday.

Over the next four weeks, there will be a controlled burn taking place off Long Branch Loop and Water Tower Road near the Highway 31 interchange.

Smoke is expected to be moderate but may be visible from Highway 22 at times.

Officials are informing residents not to be alarmed if smoke is spotted.
