Fifth Body Recovered From Wreckage Site Of Baltimore Bridge Collapse

Eight construction workers were on the bridge at the time of the collapse. Two survived but the other six were presumed dead.

The body of a fifth missing construction worker was recovered Wednesday from the wreckage site of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse.

The Baltimore bridge collapsed after its support column was struck by a cargo ship on March 26.

Eight construction workers were on the bridge at the time of the collapse. Two were found that day and survived. However, the other six were presumed dead.

In the following weeks, crews located four of the missing bodies.

Wednesday, salvage teams located a missing construction vehicle. 49-year-old Miguel Gonzalez was found inside the truck and pulled out by underwater recovery teams.

Crews will continue cleanup efforts as well as a search mission for the sixth missing construction worker.
