3M has issued a recall on nearly 40,000 noise-reducing earmuffs.
The 3M Peltor X4 Series Earmuffs are being recalled due to the potential of the product cracking, leading to potential overexposure to loud sounds.
They were sold nationwide from March 2020-September 2022.
The products were available in a variety of attachment styles. The versions include, over the head, behind the head, hard hat-attached and full-brim hard hat-attached.
No injuries have been reported in connection to the recalled earmuffs. However, anyone with the affected products should immediately stop using them and contact 3M for a free replacement.
