Myrtle Beach Fire Department Secured Its First High Water Vehicle

South Carolina Forestry is set to conduct a final inspection before it is fully transferred over to the Myrtle Beach Fire Department.

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department now has a new tool.

The department secured its first high water vehicle, also known as a light medium tactical vehicle. It will reportedly be used for transporting resources and rescuing people in flooding situations if needed.

The department was able to obtain the water vehicle last summer through federal firefighter programs. It aims to help officials be better prepared as hurricane season approaches.
