One Man Is Dead After Falling From Myrtle Beach Hotel

27-year-old Jorge Orellana fell to the ground before reaching the fifth floor. He was transported to a hospital where he later died from massive trauma to his upper body.

A North Carolina man died at a Myrtle Beach hotel Sunday.

Around 1:30am, officers were called to Hotel Blue located along South Ocean Boulevard on reports of shots fired.

The shooting occurred in a room on the sixth floor.

While people involved were fleeing the hotel room, one man exited through the balcony. He was attempting to climb down the back of the building.

Everyone involved in the shooting has been identified and the gun was found.

The incident remains under investigation.
