Suspect Of Robeson County Homicide Investigation Arrested

The charges stem from a homicide investigation that was opened after deputies found 33-year-old Brandigan Hunt deceased in a vehicle.

A man wanted by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office was detained Tuesday afternoon.

20-year-old Chase Locklear was arrested on Highway 72 west during a traffic stop. He was charged with first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle inflicting serious bodily injury, assault by pointing a gun and communicating threats.

The charges stem from a homicide investigation that was opened after deputies found 33-year-old Brandigan Hunt deceased in a vehicle.

It was discovered he was shot on Holly Swamp Church Road Monday night.

Locklear is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond.

An investigation is still underway.
