One Dead Following Two-Vehicle Crash In Georgetown County

One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Georgetown County.

Around 11pm on Saturday, two vehicles were traveling south along Highway 701 near Lucy Greer Drive when they collided.

The driver of a 2017 GMC Sierra pickup truck disabled a 2005 Nissan Altima during the incident.

The driver of the Nissan was the sole occupant. They were transported to a hospital where they later died.

The driver and passenger of the GMC were not injured.

Identities of those involved have not been publicly revealed.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
