One Dead After Alleged Neighborhood Dispute Leads To Shooting

It was revealed that a neighborhood dispute occurred which prompted gunfire from a victim and another person. 

Laurinburg police are investigating a fatal shooting.

Around 7pm Wednesday, police were called to the area of Covenant Way on reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, 84-year-old Cleophus Bass was found deceased from a gunshot wound.

It was revealed that a neighborhood dispute occurred which prompted gunfire from both Bass and another person.

A person of interest has been detained pending further investigation.
