Guinell Norton Woodard

Guinell Norton Woodard, age 48 of Laurinburg passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Jerry Wilkes and Pastor Kenneth Blease. Burial will follow the service at Hillside Memorial Park. Guinell was born July 13, 1962 in Scotland County, daughter of the late Woodrow Norton and Glenda Pope Norton. She formerly worked in textiles for Springs Mills. Guinell enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time with her K-9 friends. She will be remembered as a precious and loving mother, sister and grandmother. She leaves behind her daughter, Jessica “Paige” Woodard of Laurel Hill, step daughter, Jennifer W. Colburn and husband Jake of Laurel Hill and their father, Greg Woodard of Laurel Hill; her brothers, Woody Norton of Laurinburg, Roger Norton and wife Lisa of Hamlet, Ronnie Norton and wife Debbie of Laurinburg; sisters, Sue Wilkes and husband Rev. Jerry Wilkes of Laurinburg and Bessie Norton of Raeford; grandson, Jace Colburn; many nieces and nephews and her K-9 friends, Patches and Chase. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13th at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
