A middle school student has been charged after allegedly making threats.

An 11-year-old student of Rosemary Middle School in Andrews is accused of telling his teacher and classmates that the school was going to “blow up.”

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office further investigated and found no weapons or explosives in the child’s home.

Officials say the Georgetown County School District policy regarding the threats will be implemented. Then it will be decide how the school will discipline the student.
