A local author along the Grand Strand for over 25 years, is having one of his books turned into a movie.

Ron Wing, also known by his pen name James Robert Fuller, is the author of a 10-book crime thriller series.

Wing’s book, ‘Paradise: Disturbed’ caught the interest of an entertainment company.

The book is about two FBI agents on the hunt to solve a series of crimes committed by a killer.

Wing has sold thousands of copies.

That company is now making a movie based off the book.

Filming is set to take place at locations along the Grand Strand including Brookgreen Gardens, Alligator Adventure and more.

Filming is set to start this summer. Once the movie is out in 2025 it will be in local theaters.

Wing said this is a dream come true and he couldn’t have done it without his readers.
