Supreme Court Restores Trump On Colorado Ballot
The higher court ruled no state can bar Trump or any other candidate from a presidential ballot by invoking the insurrection clause in the constitution.
The Supreme Court unanimously ruled to put Donald Trump back on Colorado’s ballot.
The state’s Supreme Court previously removed the former president from it’s ballot claiming he violated the 14th amendment during the January 6th Capitol riot.
The Colorado justices argued he committed insurrection and should not be allowed in office again.
Trump appealed the state’s ruling, giving the U.S. Supreme Court the overall decision.
The higher court ruled no state can bar Trump or any other candidate from a presidential ballot by invoking the insurrection clause in the constitution.
Trump said, “The voters can take someone out of the race very quickly, but a court shouldn’t be doing that and the Supreme Court said that very well.”
