Georgetown City Council Upholds Suspension Of Business License For Mingz

During the council meeting, local law enforcement shared many calls for service were made to the bar and restaurant. There were reportedly 53 calls made in 2022 and 60 last year.

The Georgetown City Council voted to uphold the suspension of the business license for the Mingz Bar and Grill.

During the council meeting, local law enforcement shared many calls for service were made to the bar and restaurant. There were reportedly 53 calls made in 2022 and 60 last year.

The calls included trespassing, fights in progress, disorderly conduct and incidents involving a gun or gunshots.

Police claim it’s only a matter of time before an incident results in death and the bar should be shut down to avoid that situation.

The council unanimously voted to uphold the suspension of the business license for Mingz.
