A recall has been placed on over 215,000 electric smokers.
The Char-Broil brand digital electric smokers are designed for outdoor use to cook without charcoal.
The recall was placed due to the products posing an electric shock hazard.
Char-Broil has received 79 complaints from consumers who experienced a “minor electric shock” when touching the smoker while in use.
The products were sold nationwide at retailers including Lowe’s, Ollie’s, Target, and more.
The affected smokers were available to purchase from April of 2015 through January of this year.
Consumers should stop use immediately and visit Char-Broil’s website to request a free repair kit.
