Two Juveniles In Custody After Chiefs’ Parade Shooting
One person who was in custody has been cleared while two juveniles remain in custody for further investigation.
New details have emerged after gunfire broke out near the end of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade Wednesday.
A 43-year-old woman was shot and killed while 22 victims ages 8-47 were wounded. Half of those injured are younger than 16-years-old.
The shooting appears to have been a “dispute between several people that ended in gunfire,” and there is no indication it was linked to terrorism or homegrown violent extremism.
Three people had been detained and an unspecified number of guns were recovered by police.
