Deceased Former UNCP Student Identified
19-year-old Khalil Alford has been identified as the victim who later succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the former University of North Carolina at Pembroke student who was shot and killed on Wednesday, has been revealed.
Around 4:40pm, UNCP campus police responded to the Courtyard Apartments near campus on reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, police did not encounter any shooters but did locate shell casings on the ground.
Shortly after, Robeson County police responded to a second incident off campus in which they encountered a person in need of medical attention.
19-year-old Khalil Alford has been identified as the victim who later succumbed to his injuries.
An investigation is underway to reveal more.
