Handheld Steamers Recalled Due To Posing Serious Burn Hazard
Vornado alone has received over 100 reports of the steamers “spraying or spitting” from the steam nozzle with 23 of them resulting in burn injuries.
Nearly 2 million handheld steamers were recalled due to serious burn hazards.
The recall was placed after consumers reported the steamers were “expelling hot water from the steam nozzle while heating or during use.”
Brands impacted by the recall include Steamfast, Vornado and Sharper Image-brand Garment Steamers.

The products were sold nationwide between July of 2009 and last month at retailers including Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond, Amazon and more.
Consumers should stop use immediately.
