Michigan School Shooter’s Mother Testifies In Court

On November 30th, Ethan Crumbley, who was 15 at the time, pulled a handgun from his backpack and shot 11 people, killing four.

The mother of a suspect who opened fire at a school in Oxford, Michigan in 2021 testified in court Thursday.

On November 30th, Ethan Crumbley, who was 15 at the time, pulled a handgun from his backpack and shot 11 people, killing four.

The shooter’s mother Jennifer and father James, are facing charges of four counts of involuntary manslaughter in connection to the shooting. They are accused of making a gun accessible at home and not addressing their son’s mental care.

The pair are the first parents in the U.S. to be charged in a mass shooting committed by their child. Both have denied responsibility for their son’s actions.

Jennifer testified she had no part in the purchase of the gun in the first place and that she lost everything the day her son conducted the tragic incident. She placed the blame on James.

The trial is expected to continue for five more days.

Ethan himself has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.
