The recall was placed after tablets of Carbinoxamine Maleate, an antihistamine, were discovered in a bottle labeled as Zenzedi.
Azurity Pharmaceuticals has issued a recall on some of its ADHD and Narcolepsy medications.
The recall covers some Zenzedi 30 milligram tablets with an expiration date of June 2025.
The recall was placed after tablets of Carbinoxamine Maleate, an antihistamine, were discovered in a bottle labeled as Zenzedi.
People who take Carbinoxamine instead of Zenzedi have a higher risk of accidents or injuries and may have drowsiness, increased eye pressure, urinary obstruction and thyroid disorder.
Consumers with the recalled lot should return it to their pharmacy immediately.
The recall comes amid a national shortage of ADHD drugs that has been ongoing for nearly two years.
