Tesla Recalls Nearly 200k Vehicles Due To Backup Camera Malfunction

Tesla said it is not aware of any crashes or injuries connected to the problem but 81 warranty claims may have been related.

Tesla has placed a recall on nearly 200,000 vehicles.

The recall covers certain 2023 Y, S and X model vehicles. All are equipped with “Full Self-Driving” computer 4.0.

The recall was issued due to the backup camera potentially malfunctioning while the car is in reverse.

Tesla said it is not aware of any crashes or injuries connected to the problem but 81 warranty claims may have been related.

The issue can now be fixed through an online software update.
