Albert D ‘Randy’ Powell

COWARD: Albert Durant “Randy” Powell, 63, husband of Kartrinka K. “Tinky” Powell, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at his residence in Coward, SC. Mr. Powell was born in Florence, South Carolina, and was a son of the late Albert Mae and Bertie M. Powell. He was a member of Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church, and worked with City Gas and Oil of Lake City. He also did construction and painting with Wise Construction of Florence. Surviving are his wife, Kertrinka K. “Tinky” Powell of Coward; one daughter, Libby (David) Parker of Effingham; one son, Timothy (Amber) Powell of Coward; one sister, Diane P. Carraway of Scranton; two granddaughters, Whitney and Kallie Powell of Coward; one step grandson, Tommy Ray Poston of Effingham; one step granddaughter, Victoria Parker of Pamplico; a special niece, Rikka Kirby of Coward, and nine nieces and nephews. Mr. Powell is predeceased by his parents, Albert Mae and Bertie M. Powell, and one sister, Peggy Ann Matthews. Visitation for Mr. Powell will be Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 6-8 pm in the Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 3 o‘clock pm in the Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church with committal in the church cemetery.
