On Thursday, a gunman conducted the deadliest mass shooting the Czech Republic has seen in decades.
The violence broke out at a university in Prague resulting in at least 14 deaths and left 25 others injured.
Authorities believe the 24-year-old male gunman died by suicide, but he has not yet been formally identified because of the severity of his injuries.
The gunman was a student of the Faculty of Arts at Charles University where the shooting took place.
Shortly after the mass shooting a man was found dead in a town 13 miles from the university and is believed to be the shooter’s father. The deceased suspect is believed to be responsible for his father’s murder as well.
Czech authorities are also working on a theory the gunman is connected to a double homicide in a Prague suburb, last week.
Details remain limited as an investigation is underway and a motive behind the rampage is unclear at this time.
