December 18th Marks Ten Years Since Heather Elvis Disappeared

Heather Elvis' body has never been found. Her family plans to hold their annual vigil starting at 5pm on Monday at Peachtree Landing.

December 18th marks 10 years since Heather Elvis disappeared in Horry County.

The 20-year-old has not been seen or heard from since December 18th of 2013. Her car was found at Peachtree Landing in the Socastee area, but there was no sign of her.

It was revealed that Sidney Moorer and Elvis had an affair from July to October of 2013. Documents show the two had talked the same day she disappeared.

In October of 2018, a jury found Sidney’s wife, Tammy Moorer, guilty of kidnapping Elvis. Sidney was found guilty of the same charge in September of 2019.

Both appealed their convictions, but were denied and each were sentenced to 30 years in prison.
