Walmart Will No Longer Advertise Through The ‘X’ Platform

The head of operations at 'X' claimed that Walmart's decision is not a direct result of Musk's actions and the retailer continues to be active on the platform in other ways.

Walmart is the latest retailer that is no longer taking part in advertising on the ‘X’ platform, formerly known as Twitter.

A spokesperson for the retail giant shared the move is not about a specific change to their advertising policies, they simply decreased spending over time to align with performance. They also said Walmart is constantly optimizing its efforts and these decisions are made in a dynamic market and could change in the future.

Several prominent brands have paused their advertising through the social media platform following owner Elon Musk’s public embrace of anti-Semitic conspiracy theory.

The head of operations at ‘X’ claimed that Walmart’s decision is not a direct result of Musk’s actions and the retailer continues to be active on the platform in other ways.

Musk has apologized for his public remarks regarding anti-Semitism but crudely attacked advertisers claiming he won’t be blackmailed.
