First up, if you’re prepping a large batch of potatoes, use a knife or kitchen scissors to score a line around the circumference of each potato. Boil for about 20 minutes and then place them in ice water for about a minute. Remove them and then the peels should come right off!
Skip the crispy fried onion straws and use onion rings instead! Prepare green bean casserole as you would normally but instead of the onions straws, top it with frozen onion rings. But, make sure they’re relatively small and uniform in size. You can also use broken pieces to fill in the gaps for a tasty topping.
Did you forget to put your wine in the refrigerator? Don’t panic, here’s a tip for that. Place a bottle of wine in an ice bucket or anything tall and wide enough to hold the bottle and some ice. Fill the bucket with ice and add a generous handful of salt. gGive the bottle a twist to distribute the salt, and leave it to chill for a few minutes. It will be ice cold in no time.
Finally, send leftovers home in disposable muffin tins! A lot of people enjoy Thanksgiving leftovers and with disposable muffin tins they get a little bit of everything without needing five storage containers to hold it all.
