How to Become a Morning Person by Monday

If you've always wanted to be a morning person, try these four things.

If you’ve always wanted to be a morning person, a sleep consultant explains there are some things that can help you make the shift, even for the self-proclaimed night owls.  1. Slow roll it.  Back up your sleep schedule by 15 minutes every morning and night.  The first few days may be difficult because our brains don’t like change, but once you get over the day 3 hump it will become easier. Also, know that light exposure is your secret weapon.  Blue light suppresses melatonin. Dim and turn off that exposure before bed and get the morning sun as soon as you possible when you wake. 3.  Keep your sleep consistent.  Once you begin training your body to fall asleep and wake up at a certain time, it’s important not to switch up the schedule.   That means no sleeping in on the weekends.  4. Ditch the snooze.  There’s no benefit prolonging the agony. just rip the band-aid off.  When the alarm goes off, start a count down in your head for five seconds. as soon as you get to five, jump out of bed.
