Cycling Company Issues Recall On Around 760,000 Bike Cranksets
Around 680 thousand sets under the recall were sold in the U.S. nationwide between January of 2012 and August of this year.
A cycling company has issued a recall on nearly 760 thousand bike cranksets.
The recall was placed due to a crash hazard that has resulted in several reported injuries. This impacts several Shimano 11-Speed Bonded Hollowtech II Road Cranksets that were manufactured in Japan prior to July of 2019.
The products were sold both individually and on bikes by other companies, including Trek and Specialized. Consumers can identify the recalled crank parts by their production date and two letter codes.
Around 680 thousand sets under the recall were sold in the U.S. nationwide between January of 2012 and August of this year.
Those who own the recalled parts are urged to stop use immediately and take their bike to participating retailers for a free replacement and installation.
