Kraft Recalls Over 83,000 Cases Of Processed American Cheese Slices
Several customers reported finding the plastic stuck to a slice and six customers reported choking and gagging on the products.
Kraft Heinz has issued a recall on over 83 thousand cases of individually wrapped Kraft Singles American processed cheese slices.
The company discovered that one of its wrapping machines allowed thin strips of film to remain on the cheese slices after the wrapper is removed. If the film is not completely removed, it could potentially cause a gagging or choking hazard.
The recall applies to 16-ounce Kraft Singles American Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Products with a use-by-date between January 10th and 27th of next year, as well as three-pound multipacks of Kraft Singles American Pasteurized Prepared Cheese Product with a use-by-date between January 9th and 13th of next year.
Several customers reported finding the plastic stuck to a slice and six customers reported choking and gagging on the products. However, there were no reports of injuries or serious health issues.
Customers can return the products to the store it was purchased for an exchange or refund.
