Duke University To Financially Cover Undergraduates From The Carolinas
The university estimated nearly 3,340 current undergraduates from the Carolinas, will receive the additional assistance this fall.
Duke University announced that it will provide full tuition grants for undergraduate students from North and South Carolina.
The students that qualify must come from families whose incomes are $150 thousand or less. The new aid is slated to begin in the fall, 2023 semester.
In addition, for Duke students who are residents of the Carolinas with yearly family incomes of $65 thousand or less, the university will cover all tuition, plus financial assistance for housing, meals and some course materials, or other campus expenses without the need for student loans.
University President Vincent Price said, “The financial support for undergraduates reflects Duke’s commitment to our students from the Carolinas.”
