Watermelon May Boost Your Mood

The National Watermelon Board shares data that showcases watermelon’s role in making fans feel happier.

Need a mood boost?  Pick up a watermelon the next time you hit the grocery store.   More than 80% say eating watermelon makes them feel happier.  Plus, about the same amount consider it to be a comfort food.   Last year alone, Americans consumed over 5 billion pounds of watermelon.  No wonder we like it so much, it’s an excellent source of Vitamins C and B6, and it’s 92% water.
