The move will suspend the U.S. debt limit through 2025 and is set to cap non-defense spending, expand work requirements for food stamp recipients and draw back several COVID-19 relief funds, among other policy provisions.

After the House passed the bill earlier this week, the Senate approved it with a vote of 63 to 36.
