Bill Would Grant S.C. Educators Paid Parental Leave If Signed By McMaster
Lawmakers say the law would boost the state's efforts to recruit and retain teachers at a time when the state is experiencing an educator shortage.

House members voted in favor with changes Senators made to H.3908, last week.
If signed by Governor McMaster, it would make S.C. the first state in the southeast to guarantee public school employees statewide, including teachers, to receive paid leave when they welcome a new child.
