Two Florida Men Charged After Traffic Stop Led To Discovery Of Stolen Property
During the search, deputies recovered 15 cloned credit cards, 12 of which had unknown cardholder information.
On Monday, two residents of Florida were arrested in Florence County.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop for a speeding vehicle and found reasonable suspicion of criminal activity which prompted them to gain a warrant and search the car.
During the search, deputies recovered 15 cloned credit cards, 12 of which had unknown cardholder information.
They also discovered over $5 thousand worth of merchandise that was allegedly illegally purchased from the cloned cards, including lawn equipment, household goods, and a 100-gallon fuel tank full of fuel.
47-year-old, Yoel Alverez and 31-year-old Jorge Tapanes were both charged with financial transaction card theft and receiving stolen goods.
They are both detained at the Florence County detention center awaiting a bond hearing.
