Audra Creates New Drink – Introducing the “Myrtle Beach Wave”

Audra's mixes sparkling water with a Jelly Belly powder mix, then tops it with a foaming coconut creamer and wait for it....nerd candy!

We all know water is good for us.  For some, getting the daily H20 is easy.  For others…they need to add a little something.   Many have been getting creative online coming up with ways to flavor water.  A trend resulted with its own hashtag: #watertok that has about 94 million views.  Basically the trend involves adding powder mixes like Kook-Aid to a glass of water.  Some use heavy syrups which has gotten thumbs down from nutritionist.   Out of the trend, treats like “Doctor Pepper Water” were born!   It’s combining black cherry sparking water with a pinch of black cherry Kook-Aid.  While testing out the trend over the weekend, Audra creates a new one that she calls “Myrtle Beach Wave.”  She mixed black cherry sparkling water with a Jelly Belly Berry Blue powder drink mix and poured over ice.  Then she whips two Tablespoons of almond and coconut creamer (10 calories per TBSP) and pours on top.  Audra finishes the blue concoction with a sprinkling of Nerd candy.  It reminds her of her favorite Sonic drink.
