Murdaugh Admits Lies Regarding Housekeeper’s Death
The statement filed stated that there were no dogs involved in her fall and that was fabricated to force Murdaugh's insurers to make a settlement payment.
Alex Murdaugh has confessed to lies regarding the death of his family’s former house keeper.
In 2018, Gloria Satterfield died in what was described as a fall caused by the family dogs during a 911 call from Mudaugh’s wife and youngest son.
Nautilus Insurance Co. sued Murdaugh for allegedly committing life insurance fraud after Satterfield’s death. His attorneys have now revealed that he “invented the critical facts surrounding her death to receive a settlement.”
The statement filed stated that there were no dogs involved in her fall and that was fabricated to force Murdaugh’s insurers to make a settlement payment.
Murdaugh admitted to insurance claim fraud and that Satterfield was not pushed or knocked down the stairs by the canines.
The convicted murderer also admitted that he owed the Satterfield family $4.3 million as they never obtained any money from insurance through the claims, alleging that Murdaugh kept it for himself.
Murdaugh has been indicted on 11 charges in connection to the Satterfield settlement.
