Boating Safety Bill Progressed Further For Approval
The bill is intended to decrease the amount of crashes and fatalities on the state's waterways.
A bill in regards to improving boater safety in South Carolina progressed on Thursday.
The boating safety education bill would require anyone born on or after July first of 2007, to complete a state-approved boating safety course before operating motorized boats. Anyone born before the date would be exempt from the course.
The bill is intended to decrease the amount of crashes and fatalities on the state’s waterways.
The legislation passed in the Senate unanimously last month and was approved last night by a House Judiciary Subcommittee. It will now be passed on to the full House Judiciary Committee.
