A mother is now suing the man who pleaded guilty to the murder of her daughter.
Brittanee Drexel was from New York and disappeared while vacationing in Myrtle Beach on April 25th in 2009. Her body was discovered 13 years later in May of last year.
Raymond Moody confessed to kidnapping, sexually assaulting, and killing Drexel. Her mother, Dawn Pleckan, has now filed a lawsuit against her daughters murderer.
The lawsuit says Moody as well as Angel Vause, who was his girlfriend at the time, lured Drexel into their car while she was walking alone in Myrtle Beach.
Pleckan is suing Moody for intentional infliction of emotional distress. She claims Moody deprived her of the love and affection that a child gives a parent which caused the distress.
The mother is demanding a jury trial in the case.
