Man Detained After Hours Of Barricading Himself In A Home

Despite police orders, he refused to come out of the house for over 5 hours.

A man has been detained after hours of barricading himself in a home in the Cherry Grove section in North Myrtle Beach.

North Myrtle Beach police responded to a destruction of property call referring to a vehicle.

When police showed up at the Pointe March Community, the suspect ran into one of the homes.

Officials said the suspect had two outstanding warrants, one for domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, and another for unlawful communication.

Despite police orders, he refused to come out of the house for over 5 hours.

The suspects name has not yet been released.
