One Ex-Officer Pleaded Guilty Just Before The Trial Concerning George Floyd

Over a year ago former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin was sentenced to prison for the murder and manslaughter of George Floyd.
On Monday, a trial was set to begin for two ex-officers charged with aiding and abetting the murder and manslaughter of Floyd.
Former officer, J. Alexander Kueng accepted a plea deal that required him to plead guilty to aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter of Floyd, and the charge of his aiding and abetting Floyd’s murder will be dropped. The deal calls for Kueng to be sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison.
The other former officer, Tou Thao, pleaded not guilty. instead of a jury trial, his case will now be decided by a judge.
