Most students don’t know what they want to be when they grow up. Choosing a college major is one of the most personal and challenging decisions a high school graduate needs to make. A recent study showed that more than half of students, 65 percent in fact, chose a major that doesn’t reflect their grades, skills or general interests. If your child is struggling to with career choices, their guidance counselor can be a great resource. Also, help them explore their interests and hobbies. It’s also helpful to consider the amount of time they are willing to dedicate to studying.
