Hong Kong Removes Int. Traveler Quarantine

The Hong Kong government announced the end of a pandemic era has arrived. Formal quarantine for international travelers has ended. New rules will take affect starting Monday, where incoming travelers will be required to undergo three days of self monitoring on arrival. According to a statement, the pressure to loosen restrictions was inspired by “Asia’s world city” was being left behind as the rest of the world moved on from the pandemic. Incoming travelers will now be able to go outside but will be given an amber color under the city’s digital health code which will prevent them from entering certain places. Those arriving will no longer have to present a negative Covid test. Caution is still present, but a step forward away from the world wide pandemic era has been taken.
