Speaking of the former President, more information on the day of the insurrection has also been released. The Secret Service was able to provide a single text exchange to the Department of Homeland Security Inspector General who previously requested a month’s worth of records from 24 Secret Service personnel. In June of last year Inspector General Joseph Cuffari requested those text messages sent and received between December 7th, 2020 and January 8th, 2021. The agency is interviewing the 24 users ‘to determine if messages were stored in locations that were not already searched by the Secret Service.’
